Styled Shoot

Featured: Romance Goes Natural Styled Shoot

We had the honor of working with Bethany Joy Photography back in March, playing host to one very gorgeous styled shoot!  New to the Raleigh area, Bethany wished to design and produce a styled shoot to introduce herself to local wedding vendors, and market herself to new clientele.  This talented Irish beauty did just that, designing beautiful details, collaborating with an amazing team of vendors, and producing stunning photography!

This past week, the shoot was published by Borrowed & Blue, a site dedicated to featuring locally inspired weddings.  Congratulations vendor team!  You can see the full feature HERE

Get to know Bethany (if you don't know her already) through her stunning work below, and be sure watch the shoot's highlight video from Carolina Wedding Films!

Friday Feature - Vintage Shoot

We are all about fabulous styled shoots and this vintage themed one is no exception to our adoration. This shoot was inspired by photographer, Cheyenne Kidd’s love for vintage and antiques.

Cheyenne grabbed some passionate vendors and together they created the beauty that is this vintage shoot. The Greenhouse Picker Sisters spearheaded the styling and put their creative hands to work. The end result was stunning.

From typewriters to wooden barrels, the rustic elements really complimented the desired feel. The gold plated dishware only added to the vintage vibe and the centerpieces from Pine State Flowers made the table pop with just the right amount of color. And let’s not forget about the beautifully crafted cake that oozed elegant simplicity.

We are always so excited to be involved with styled shoots and we’re flattered that Cheyenne chose Mims as the location for her vintage oasis.

Kudos to our rockstar vendors:

Friday Feature - Agate Inspired Bridal Luncheon Styled Shoot

One of the perks to owning a wedding venue is playing host to a variety of styled shoots. We have been so fortunate to have had so many creative professionals utilize our space for stylized shoots. It’s been inspiring to see the variety of ways our rooms, furniture and porches have been showcased. Are you thinking of putting together a styled shoot? Reach out. We don’t discriminate and welcome any and all planners and photographers to use our property as the backdrop for their shoot.

The focus for styled shoots is often the wedding day itself so when Brooke and I started brainstorming planning our own shoot at the house, we wanted to do something out of the box and different. Who says bridal luncheons should be boring and predictable? We joined forces with some amazing vendors to style a bridal luncheon that totally rocks! Pun intended. From agate decor, to wildly colorful details, this agate inspired bridal shower takes the standard pre-wedding gathering to a whole new level.

The highlight feature to our shoot, aside from our drop dead gorgeous faux bride-to-be, was the custom backdrop featuring the bold colors in a running splash pattern. A black cake with graffiti splatter and gold-etched diamond accent was the perfect addition to the luncheon’s festivities. And speaking of that drop dead gorgeous model, Jessica is an industry friend who is now an actual bride-to-be and we’re delighted she took some time to practice with us.

We are thrilled this shoot was recently featured on Be-Spoke Bride and you’ll also recognize the pictures for a very soon-to-be-announced project from Orangerie Events. The idea of hosting a bridal luncheon isn’t uncommon. But the idea of hosting a perfectly executed themed bridal luncheon is and our hope is that this colorful and electrifying shoot can offer inspiration for brides hoping to take their bridal luncheon or shower to the next level. Be sure to check out the fabulous team of vendors who helped bring this shoot to life and a huge virtual hug to AJ Dunlap Photography for spending the day with us, capturing our creativeness and bringing along her adorable Ada Pearl for us to love on.
