SkillPop is an organization that believes the best learning happens in person, so they decided to work to create an environment where people could do just that. Interested in trying out a new skill, well now you can! SkillPop offers classes taught by local professionals in the Raleigh + Charlotte area. They strive to make the environment friendly, accessible, engaging and social for all who attend their sessions.

As SkillPop has said, "SkillPop classes are designed to stretch you beyond the ordinary." Classes range from learning about watercolors, marketing, photography, calligraphy to so much more. They work with local experts to teach all the classes offered in your area.

When offering these classes, they need talented and passionate people to teach. And guess what, that could be you! Have an idea for a great class you would like to teach in your area? Awesome, head over to their site and submit your proposal today!

New classes launch from SkillPop's newsletter every Tuesday - many sell out fast! So, here's the link to sign up for the newsletter: https://www.skillpop.com/

We were so excited for the opportunity to host Brush Calligraphy Basics, a SkillPop event, at the Mims House recently. This class was taught by Alexa Behar, the owner of Sage Paper Co. Everyone had a smile on their face and a paint brush in their hand the entire night. All of the materials needed for the class were provided and you didn't have to have any experience with watercolor or calligraphy in order to participate. How wonderful is that!

If you are interested in learning about watercolor and calligraphy then this class is just right for you! We learned all the basics, beginning with straight lines to learning the strokes of the full alphabet. By the end of it we were learning how to connect our letters, added a little twist for our own style, and designed a beautiful print that reads "Love More, Worry Less." We were all laughing, chatting, connecting, and having a blast!
